With SOLIDWORKS announcing that Workgroup PDM will no longer be supported after SOLIDWORKS 2017, many Workgroup users are making the move to SOLIDWORKS PDM Standard or Professional. These new tools allow organizations to take advantage of modern database technology and improve performance, but as with any change, there can be some challenges in learning a new interface, and new data management concepts. Since SOLIDWORKS PDM is built on an intuitive Windows Explorer interface, learning the new software can just be a matter of learning some new terms and procedures. In this webinar, we will explore the differences in concepts, terms and User Interface between Workgroup and SOLIDWORKS PDM in order to help make the transition as smooth as possible.
